This is my last Tarte review for this year! And boy, was this a doozy to swatch! I didn't know nude blushes would be so hard to swatch & differentiate. They were all
looking the same, so I had to be very careful while labeling them! HaHaHa It wasn't until I swatched them side-by-side
that I could see a difference. I've really been into nude makeup this year, so when Tarte stated they were coming out with a
Naughty Nudes blush collection &
highlighter ...I had to give them a whirl. The blushes I've owned in the past, have mainly been on the pink side. I'm finding just as I did with pink lipsticks, not all pink blushes look good on me. I look better in mauves, shades of brown and peachy tones. Tarte came out with three (3) new additions: Sensual, Risque & Seduce. Exposed was already a staple in the Tarte family of blushes (but I didn't own it). Tarte also came out with an Exposed Highlight! It's a soft antique gold. It's very stunning, and it dazzles. It's a little more toned down than the The Balm's, Mary Lou Manizer. I also purchased Tarte's Blushing Bride blush. A YouTuber, Arshia did a full face tutorial using this blush. It made for a very pretty look, so I wanted to add it to my collection. I love ALL of these blushes. My very last pic really shows you the difference between them. They're soft. Their pigmentation is just right. There's nothing jarring or clownish about them. So I'm happy I purchased them. So now I have the following Tarte blushes in my collection:
Tarteist Blush Palette,
Tarte Poppy Picnic,
Tarte Makeup By Shayla,
Tarte Swamp Queen, and
Tarte Sweet Dreams Chic to Cheek Blush Set.

Oh I really like the risque shade! :)
ReplyDeleteI need to look into getting more Tarte blushes - I love the ones I won in your giveaway but the toddler has not been to kind to them...ha! I have one left and so better hunt out a replacement before he gets to that one too ;)

These colors are very soft indeed. I love watching beauty gurus on youtube too. They make everything look simple and they are great teachers too.
ReplyDeleteI was never into nude makeup, but slowly starting to love it! Well I didn't know that there're nude blushes! Sensual looks like a peachy blushes. Exposed highlighter looks so different and glowy on the skin!

Exposed is such a gorgeous gold shade! Ahh I'll be adding these to my wish list. Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteI don't have too many neutral blushes but I can see exposed looking good. The exposed highlight looks pretty too. All I've been wearing for blushes lately are my mac blushes, hourglass ambient blush, and milano luminoso. I've never owned a Tarte blush but I hear great things. I'd probably go for one that's not completely neutral though.

They're so pretty Kim! Really wearable shades that will go with most looks.

When it comes to blushes, I'm so hesitant to try new ones because, like you, I find there are a lot of shades, especially pinks, that just don't suit me. I've been loyal to blushes from Nars and Chanel for years now. Most of the time I stick with coral and brown shades, only bringing in pinks in the winter when my skin isn't tanned. But, admittedly, these blushes are so gorgeous that I'm tempted to give them a try!

These are right up my alley with my light skin!
ReplyDeleteBefore I made the switch over to cream blushes, Tarte Exposed was one of my absolute favorite blushes. It's such a pretty and wearable neutral that flatters so many different skintones. I loved the formulation as well because it was so smooth and long wearing. You have a gorgeous collection Kim!
ReplyDeleteI love tarte blushes! I had Exposed, wore it all the time, and then it lost its life in a tragic accident! lol I need to replace it. That's one blush that you definitely miss when it's gone!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty items! You always find such awesome products!

Risque and Seduce are my favorites. The highlight is also pretty!
ReplyDeleteThese are all lovely, Kim:) You have one kick-a$$ collection for sure, and I can see why they got a Supersweet rating. I used to be obsessed with Tarte Cheek Stains, so I'm not surprised these are fab:D The Seduce one is my fave I think looking at the swatches you did.
ReplyDeleteThese are all gorgeous! You know I'm a sucker for these types of blush shades too! Seduce looks so pretty. I love exposed and the highlight of it is stunning. I'm glad you love all these Kim!
ReplyDeleteI have not bought anything from Tarte since forever but I do love all these blushers and the highlighter, Kim! I might just bite the bullet and pick up a couple for myself. And no kidding about the swatches looking almost similar, the differences are very little.

i love how you contrasted it in low and natural light. so important to see it under different conditions!
ReplyDeleteI love the Exposed blush and highlighter. A very balanced collection - as you say looking rich but not clownish. The blushing bride is such a nice addition to your collection!
ReplyDeleteOh that Seduce shade is beautiful -
ReplyDeleteI currently have about 4 blushes in my drawer and it seems like I will never use them up !
I cannot imagine what your current blush stock is. .
