I received the
Tarte Tarteist Glossy Lip Paints below for FREE! I woke up one morning to an email from Tarte, stating I had accrued blah blah blah many points and they were giving me a special code worth $50 that I could use to buy ANY of their products. My eyes lit up ... SAAAY WHAAAT??? I thought someone was PUNK-ing me that morning! Well come to find out, Tarte has a
Loyalty Program where you can earn Tarte Tokens (based on each dollar you spend at tarte.com, products that you review on your blog or who you invite as a new member). I got lucky, because they considered all of my PAST purchases. Because I didn't know about this program until I received that email. So I thought I would share that information with you. Also, make sure you sign up with
Ebates! Sometimes buying directly from Tarte.com will give you MORE CASH BACK than Ulta or Sephora. So always check! Just a little tip! Earlier this year, I stopped by Ulta to swatch Tarte's Creamy Matte Lip Paints. I didn't like them. I thought they were very matte and very dry. So it was an easy pass for me. Later this year, they came out with GLOSSY lip paints. So I decided to try some! So that's what I used my points for. I am really impressed these! They apply like a gloss, but they're creamy. They're not sticky and the color payoff is very rich. I also like how they cover the lips! They don't settle into fine lines and they give COMPLETE coverage. Snap and Double Tap are VERY similar (you may have to look at my hand to see the difference). Snap is a little darker than Double Tap. They're great alone, but I also think these would be great as a topper for
Texas Toast (Swamp Queen Collection). Goals is a pretty pink. I love pinkish-brown lipsticks. One day, I'll have to show you all the pink lipsticks I just threw out from when I first started blogging. My Snapchat Fam witnessed my throw out. I think I still have the video. Many pinks do not agree with me. Goals is a lot pinker & richer than my beloved
Anastasia Beverly Hills Undressed ,
Kylie Lip Glosses in Literally & So Cute and
Tarte VIP. So I'm happy to add it to my collection! Can you believe I can now compare & contrast what's in my collection? I'm getting good! So are there ANY negatives to these? Yes! The color selection for these are very LIMITED. The colors are unique, but I don't think they compliment every skin tone or everyone's taste. I would suggest going into Ulta or Sephora and swatching these before buying. I've noticed that Tarte leans more towards "dark/gothic" than "cheery" when it comes to colors. But those work for me! LOL I have gotten a lot better when it comes to choosing colors for myself. So color selection may be an issue, but I know you will love the formula. So I hope Tarte expands on these next year. These are a hit in my book and I also really like their
lip sculptors. Their other lip products...I'm not a fan.

All three shades are beautiful on you Kim! I haven't tried these yet. I love the gloss finish to them. A lot of pinks don't agree with me either, so I know what you mean. Goals definitely is a great pink for you though! And that's so awesome you got these for free! I totally didn't know about their rewards program! I'm glad you got to try these out!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of goals and think it looks the absolute best on you!
ReplyDeleteI knew Tarte had the tarte tokens, because they talk about it in everyemail regarding new products but how lovely of them to include past purchases! It makes them a great a brand!

Oh how awesome to get rewards like that for being a loyal customer Kim! Even better that you liked the colours you got. Those two shades do look very similar but they suit you :)

Even if the colour selection is limited, these shades you got look fab on you, Kim! And thanks for the heads up about the loyalty points. I think all cosmetic companies should totally do this. Then again, maybe not, coz that's more incentive to buy.:D
ReplyDeletePinks don't agree with me either unless they are brownish pink. These colors all look so good on you!

Tarte token sounds perfect, at least you can get unexpected free gifts like that :) Good colour pay off and non sticky formula, it can't get any better than this. All these shades are pretty, especially in goals!

Ooh these look so good and that sounds like a great reward program! I've been wanting to try the Shape Tape concealer from them but their color selection and undertones have been confusing me which is helpful for my wallet anyway!

Free stuff is the best! I love these shade. They are not overpowering and so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that Tarte had a loyalty program but I think that - and the colours of these paint glosses - has me officially convinced that I finally need to try their products. All three shades look just fabulous on you Kim, and I love the way they fall somewhere in between a lipstick and a true gloss, because that pretty much sums up exactly what I'm looking for in a lip product. Thanks for another fabulous (and informative!) review :)

Anything that gets a supersweet rating from you is worth checking out as far as I'm concerned Kim! You chose shades that work really well on you and they all look so pretty on you. I really like the look of Snap and Double Tap. We have a new Sephora opening up next week and I will definitely have to swatch the shades when I visit. And yay to Tarte rewarding you for being such a great customer. You totally deserve it girl! Thanks for the heads up on their Loyalty Program.
ReplyDeleteThese all look great on you! I especially like the first one. That great that you got these for free with your rewards!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, these sounds really good, Kim and no kidding about Snap and Double Tap looking really similar on your lips, I wouldn't be able to tell them apart. And dang, this is the first time I'm reading about Tarte loyalty programme. I need to check if the Canadian website offers the same.

These are really pretty! I really like the Goals shade! That's one I would wear a lot. The tarte rewards program sounds really good! Way to go racking up those points! I would have been happy about that too!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome, beautiful, I can imagine how excited you must have been and it was a well deserved surprise b/c you are such a love and you share such amazing, helpful reviews, it's a great way for you to receive something for all your hard work and previous purchases! I love the colors and the glossy finish, I'll have to keep an eye out for them the next time I'm at ULTA. You know, I've heard so much about Ebates, but have yet to purchase anything from them, I always forget! I have to try and remember b/c I'm leaving some money on the table! Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you're having a great week so far!

Double tap is my fave shade here- how amazing that they have a program where you accumulate tokens.. this means we're getting more Tarte reviews ;)
ReplyDeletethe loyalty program sounds awesome and I have to say, I love these kinds of lip shades!! Thanks for swatching these!

Sometimes I do forget to use ebates when I shop online, but it is great that they have a loyalty program on their site. I love these lip colors, especially the shine.
ReplyDeleteThese creamy lip glosses look fantastic!! Goals might be my shade!! This year I tried a lot of lipsticks and lipglosses. I think you might want to try: Maybelline Vivid Matte (creamy, matte but not drying at all) and L'Oreal Color Riche (there's a huge range of shades, from matte to pearlescent, also creamy and not drying. They also launched a whole range of pinks which don't provide much coverage though. For me they are a hit because I'm still very bad at applying lipsticks lol). I think on the whole the darker shades of Vivid Matte by Maybelline could get you in love! Let me know if you try them!
ReplyDeletethey look fantastic on you. i love the double tap especially!
ReplyDeleteI have been eyeing the Tarteist Lip Liners, but these look beautiful as well! I love the shade Goals!
