Burt's Bees Beeswax Bounty Fruit Mix Kit Review

Sponsored: The Burt's Bees Beeswax Bounty Fruit Mix Kit was another item I received in my PR ULTA Beauty Holiday Exclusives Box. I have tried Burt's Bees Lip Crayon, Cleansing Cream & Peppermint Foot Lotion, but can you believe I've never tried ANY of their lip balms!?! I had to laugh to myself when I received this. So now is my chance! You guys, this is a really cute set, that's only available at ULTA. It's part of their holiday collection! It contains 4 Burt's Bees Lip Balms in Wild Cherry, Pink Grapefruit, Coconut & Pear and Mango. It also contains a maroon/burgundy gift box with snowflakes, in case you want to give this set as a gift. And of course you can use all 4 lip balms as stocking stuffers. Burt's Bees also includes a $2.00 off coupon inside for use on their face or body products. Each lip balm is scented accordingly to the name of fruit on the label! It's a very light scent, but true to the fruit. I wish they had a little more oomph in that department. There is NO COLOR and NO TASTE! My favorite out of the bunch is Pink Grapefruit! It really smells good and is the stand out of the bunch. I thought Wild Cherry would be, but it wasn't. These lip balms are VERY moisturizing! They made my lips feel really good and they stayed moisturized for hours. I was very impressed. Have you tried Burt's Bees lip balm or products? Tell me your thoughts in the comments section.

  2. No colour and no taste? Hmm, I suppose that could come in handy if you were just looking for some quick lip moisturising! The gift box of 4 would make an amazing Christmas present! Thanks for the Pink Grapefruit recommendation, that definitely sounds like something I'd pick up, especially if it were sitting tempting me by the tills while my purse was out haha :)

  3. I tried some lip balms from them in the past and I quite liked them. It`s a shame they don`t have any taste, considering the tasty names.

  6. I've heard that Burt's Bees lip balm were good though I've never tried them myself. The fact that these have no color and no taste actually sounds quite appealing to me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Kim!

  7. I switched to Burt's Bees lip balms years ago when trying to get away from extra chemicals. It gets applied to my lips each night before bed. :) I like my lip balms unflavored or minty.

  8. I tried Burt's Bees lip balms for the first time about a year ago when I received some as a gift. I like, but don't love, them. The scents are wonderful and the formula is nice, but the ones I received did have a coloured tint to them which I'm not a huge fan of in a lip balm. I'm still using them slowly, but I won't replace them. My favourite lip balms are from Fresh and Vichy.

  11. I use BBee's lip balms but the plain ones, which I really like. Now that I think of it I think I lost them because don't recall seeing them lately..

  12. Hi Kim, I have used Burt's Bees products for years. I actually bought an x-mas gift pack last year for my sister and co-workers and they loved them. I think I'd use this because sometimes I actually don't want a taste/flavour, especially if blended with another lip colour or when I just want natural hydration. Lovely post. Thanks for sharing. <3

  13. Ooh, the grapefruit one sounds really good so I'm glad that's one of the strongest scents. I'm a big fan of Burt's Bee's even before the EOS crazy, but I also love the Vaseline lip therapy too in the little containers. I like that these special flavors are only available at Ulta though because I feel like there are SO many Ulta's in Dallas so I'll check it out soon.

    Nice post Kim

  14. OMG! Pink Grapefruit was my go to for many years! My husband used to buy them for me whenever he goes back to Canada because Burt's Bees is so freaking expensive in Malaysia. Good to know that you enjoyed the lip balm, Kim!

  29. Although they are widely known, I've never tried burts bees lip balms :-) Regarding Murad peeling, I agree with you that it's amazing, but I've become wary of glycolic acid.

  30. Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honey bees of the genus Apis. The wax is formed into "scales" by eight wax-producing glands in the abdominal segments of worker bees, who discard it in or at the hive. The hive workers collect and use it to form cells for honey-storage and larval and pupal protection within the beehive. Chemically, beeswax consists mainly of esters of fatty acids and various long-chain alcohols.
