Bite Beauty Beetroot, Chai and Molasses Lipstick Review and Swatches

Get ready for a lipstick explosion the next couple of weeks! I'm wrapping up reviews of my fall stash. Have you ever tried or do you own any Bite Beauty lipsticks? I've always heard good things about their lipsticks (their lipsticks are made by hand, they're also made of natural ingredients, the company is out of Toronto Canada), so I purchased a few the end of last year to try. I am really impressed with both the quality of the packaging & lipstick. Your lipstick is housed in THREE (3) sturdy outer boxes (see my pictures below). I think this is a little overboard, but be assured your lipstick will arrive safely ;) The tube the lipstick is in, is also made of sturdy material. It feels like NARS, but it doesn't stain like NARS packaging. The lipsticks look heavy, but they actually feel pretty light on the lips. They're very creamy, extremely pigmented, have a nice gloss to them and they STAY where they are applied. Don't expect these lipsticks to move around once applied. I like that, because lipstick on teeth is not a good look (I've had my share of those accidents). Bite Beauty really makes excellent quality lipsticks. Your biggest dilemma will be picking out a shade! There seems to be 45 total! I really love all 3 that I selected. If you click on me wearing CHAI, it is a gorgeous everyday shade. Again, all are very nice.

  1. I just LOVE that molasses shade. What a stunning colour on. I also quite like their packaging. It feels like a more "mature" and "refined" version of Kylie's lip kits

  2. I own three minins and I love them. There used to be four, but I lost one after a few days (they really are tiny). Thr ones I still have are almost exclusively what I wear these days.

  3. Oh that Chai colour is my favourite! That is a lot of packaging for a lipstick too, but I guess it's just cardboard so you could recycle it and it's not too bad. Would make it extra safe for shipping as well! :) I've never heard of the brand but it's good to know it would likely survive the trip to Australia if I ordered, ha!

Hope you are having a lovely start to the week :)

  4. 45 shades?! Oh boy, that's a whole lot of choice - though the 3 you've selected are SO gorgeous! You can absolutely tell how creamy they are by the way, and Chai is a shade that truly suits you Kim.

  7. I've heard a lot of great things about Bite Beauty, but haven't had a chance to try the line myself - my lipstick collection right now is way beyond what I need, since I own about 20 red shades that I never wear for a start ;) Once I start to sort it all out, I'll be adding Bite Beauty to my list of brands to try.

  8. I've been a fan of Bite Beauty for awhile now. I love that they use food grade ingredients and they do have quite a spectacular range of shades. You made a great choice with your shade selections Kim! All three are gorgeous and Chai is a really lovely everyday color for you :) I was just sent their new lip pencils which I hope to review soon.

  9. I actually have two lipsticks and liners from BITE and they are indeed amazing! I love their matte packaging, which is like you've said reminiscent of NARS, but doesn't stain, which is what I really dislike about NARS, it makes you not want to put in your makeup bag with your other products because it WILL get super dirty, haha. I also love the formula, as you've mentioned, it's light weight. The colors you've selected are absolutely beautiful and look gorgeous on you, Kim! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you're having the best start to your week so far!

  10. These are beautiful. Chai is definitely my color. Finding a lip color that stays put yet feels great is a challenge. I love that these are handmade and natural. That is awesome!

  11. I like Chai the most but Molasses is pretty too! I love Bite Beauty lipsticks! I have their matte lip crayons, their high pigment pencils, and their lipsticks. I haven't tried the Amuse Bouche line which you reviewed. Their lipsticks are on the pricey side but are great quality! Me and my friend El went to IMATS NY in 2015 and went to the Bite Beauty lip lab and created our own custom colors. It was a ton of fun but they increased the pricing alot since we went.

  12. I love all three shades on you Kim! Chai is my favorite, that's my kind of lipstick shade. I have a few mini/delux sizes from bite beauty, I love them all! I've always wanted to purchased full sizes but never did. I need too! So glad you love these!

  13. Hell yes, I love Bite lipsticks! I have both Hazelnut and Pepper (which is a teeny bit lighter than Hazelnut) and I use them all the time. Hazelnut is my go to lipstick if I don't know what to wear!

  14. I've been wanting to try BITe for awhile now, just because it's from my hometown, but your post really convinced me I need to try these hippies, Kim! Chai is indeed such a great everyday shade.:) You look fab in all the colours though!

  15. oooohhhh beetroot and chai are my fav on you! I'm dying to go to their NYC lab and customize my own but it's so expensive. Would be a super fun girls trip. Hey Kim, come to NYC and do it with me. :) I just got 2 of their lipsticks and pencils and I already own their lip crayons so can't wait to try my new Bite lippies as well!

  17. My favourite is the first shade, so beautiful.

  18. The beetroot shade is gorgeous!! I've definitely had my fair share of lipstick on teeth issues, and the ones which stay put tend to be drying, so I'm always looking for a product which can do both.

  21. beetroot, omg! That shade is smoking hot and it suits you so well. The others are really nice too (how cute is chai), but that first one...a show stopper!

  22. Beetroot is your color, you look absolutely amazing rocking that shade! I love creamy lipstick but they are rarely long-staying unlike these Bite lipsticks. Marked on my wishlist! Love, Valeria
