Harbour City Chocolate Trail 2017: All You Eat Is Love
My long time readers know, I showcase Harbour City's Chocolate Trail every year on my blog! Click on these links to view 2016, 2015, 2014 (somehow I skipped it LOL), 2013. I would love to go to Hong Kong one year to see this in person, but for right now thank GOD for Instagram. This years theme was "All You Eat Is Love" (Beatles song: All You Need Is Love). For those unfamiliar, there's usually a LARGE DISPLAY (centerpiece) that greets visitors at this shopping center. This year the display was a large stream of chocolate (as if pouring), that featured a bakers hat, mixing bowl, spatula, rolling pin and bowl overflowing with chocolate & sprinkles. On each side of the display are marshmallows & a cube of chocolate with a spoon that says "All You Can Eat Is Love". People can actually sit on it and take pictures. Behind all of this is a baking kitchen that featured a table dripped with faux pink icing and pastel cups, saucers & dishes. If you look at the ceiling, wisks grace the top of this instillation (the wisks were used as lights). I'm always amazed, with what they come up with. As you go through the mall (shopping center), there are various scrolls with wisks/spatulas that displayed CHOCOLATE RECIPES. There are also faux chocolate art, in the shape of chocolate treats & chairs throughout the mall. I always find Chocolate Trail to be a great learning experience: there are cooking demonstrations, art, and world famous chocolatiers that show off their craft. Plus, it's FUN! I love that they are now tying it in with Chinese New Year & Valentine's Day. I love those heart shaped pink macarons from Dalloyau <3 and Sayvour HK Artisan Chocolates (pink chocolate roses & chocolate hearts with a message). Today is the last day to see this chocolate wonderland (Jan 19-Feb19), but this is an annual tradition. So I'm looking forward to what they come up with next year (2018).

This is an amazing event. Looks so pretty and delicious.
ReplyDeleteThis is right up my alley! Yum and so much fun! This event look amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis is like a chocolate lover's dream come true Kim! I can only imagine it would be such marvelous fun to see in person! I hope you will get to do just that one day :) Glad to see you back! Missed you this week!
ReplyDeleteWow! That event looks awesome. But don't kill me though because... I don't like chocolates. I know... Who doesn't love chocolates, right? Weird enough, I do. It's not because of some health issues but more of... I don't like the taste of it. My husband though is a big chocolate lover. He would love to go to such events. I remember that he gives me chocolates before but ends up eating them because I won't consume it. He's happy though that he was able to give me a gift and have chocolates at the same time. LOL

ReplyDeleteI would love to go to such an event one day, even though when it comes to sweets chocolate isn't my favorite. I am more about gummi bears and these things.

I wouldn't mind visiting this place. Harbor City Chocolate Trail seems like the right kind of event for me. A real chocolate fairy-tale and wonderland! I guess I'm too late this year, but next year...who knows? I might be able to visit it. I love the title...all you eat is love. So sweet! I always believed that food prepared with love tastes better.
ReplyDeleteOmg this is a dream! I would love to visit an event like this, I have a thing for sweets and chocolate. I visited your blog a couple of days ago, I thought I missed a post but I saw that you haven't posted, so happy to see you back Kim :)

Omg, how cute is this!!!!? I'd love to visit Hong Kong around this time just so I could put this on my itinerary, it looks like such a fun experience. I've been to a chocolate expo once years ago in NYC and it was amazing, but it wasn't as playful and cute as this one seems to be. I tried again recently in CT, but the prices were ridiculous. Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, this is just way too cute!

OMG SO CUTE! I wish my kitchen and all the furniture in the house looks like that!
ReplyDeleteI love this year's display and I can only imagine the fragrance wafting through that mall! In Italy they held a chocolate festival once a year but I've always restrained myself from going there! Baci, Valeria - Coco et La vie en rose FASHION & BEAUTY
