Makeup Revolution Radiance Radiant Lights Palette Review and Swatches

I was telling my followers on Snapchat yesterday, DO NOT rule out inexpensive makeup! You can find some treasures! That brings me to today's review of Makeup Revolution's Radiance Radiant Lights Palette ($15). Makeup Revolution is a UK Brand, that is now available in the States at ULTA. You can read all my Makeup Revolution reviews by clicking on the link. This palette houses three (3) powder highlighters. There are no names, so I'll describe them as best I can >.< The first shade (light beige) pretty much matches my medium skin tone, so it just blended out. In order to pull this shade off, you must have either light or dark skin. Medium skin tones won't get much use out of it. The second shade (light creme) works great for me. I used this on my nose, forehead and atop my cheeks. The subtle, yet natural luminosity it gives is very pretty. I used the third shade (peachy brownish gold), as a blush on my cheeks! Remember those Becca luminous glow blushes? This shade reminds me of those ... only more subtle :) I completed my look by wearing L'Oreal's Infallible Pro Matte Gloss in Statement Nude (316). I really like this palette! It's super subtle (it may be too subtle for the majority), but it creates a great, soft EVERYDAY look! It also did a great job blending in with the rest of my makeup.

  1. I trust your review, Kim and will pick this up soon even though I kept telling myself that I do NOT need another highlighter, let alone a palette. LOL!

  2. It is so hard to find great highlighters at the drugstore. These are beautiful Kim. I love the glow it gives to your skin.

  7. I love the natural effect the highlight gives your skin, very subtle as you've said. I don't know how it would look on me though because I fall into the middle/olive skin category and sometimes shades like this don't show up on me and I have to keep packing on the powder for a maximum effect and then it can look chalky, no bueno, haha! Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope you're having a great week so far!

  8. These products are great for people like me, who do just the basic make up but want to try new trends/products without spending too much or having to commit.

  9. Subtle and natural luminosity sounds ideal, and especially as you've said it works well for very light skin! Looking lovely, Kim :)

  10. Ooh need to check out this brand! Price tag is a silly way to decide if makeup is good or not but bonus points when affordable!

  12. I still haven't found that line here, but I think I'm just looking at the wrong stores:P Really wish we have ULTA here. Anyhoo...this palette does look fab, and yay for being inexpensive to boot! For colour products like this, I don't mind trying out lines from "cheap" lines coz sometimes, I find they're a lot better.

  14. This looks like such a nice palette, it looks fab on you! I picked up a yellow toned highlighter from I think the same range, but I now wish I had got the palette instead as it's more versitile.

  17. It's a shame that not all of the colours worked for you Kim - but great you can get use from 2 of the 3! :)

You're right too, the subtle shimmer will make it a wise choice for lots of people - like those who might want to start trying out highlighters for example. :)

  18. These are pretty highlights too! I'm definitely going to have to check these out along with the ultra glow palette! They kind of remind me of the Laura Geller illuminators by the way they look? Maybe haha!
