Pixi Beauty sent me their NEW Peel & Polish ($24) last month. They actually sent me three! One to try and two to share with my readers. I thought that was very nice! Thank you Pixi! Let's talk POLISHERS! Polishers are usually less abrasive and gentler to the skin than face scrubs. This one by Pixi contains 6% lactic acid (exfoliate & clarify), papaya fruit extract (tone & texture) and sugar cane (glow). Pixi recommends using this 2-3 times a week. You apply it to clean skin, leave it on for 2 minutes and if you want extra exfoliation you can massage it into your skin for 30 seconds. I really liked the results I received while using this polish. My skin felt super smooth, soft, radiant and glow-y! BUT...I could only use this ONCE A WEEK with my dry/sensitive skin! The granules in it are too abrasive to use more frequently. Other skin types should not have a problem. I didn't experience any redness or irritation, but if I were to use this as recommended I probably would experience problems. I've reviewed several
face polishes! One that I would recommend that's GENTLE for dry/sensitive skin types is
Murad's Skin Smoothing Polish. For other skin types, the Pixi Peel & Polish is better than the
Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Face Polish I tried. I'm really impressed with the results of this polisher! But if you have dry/sensitive skin, you can't use it as often (once a week tops). If you would like to try this polisher, please enter my giveaway by Rafflecopter below! It's open WORLDWIDE and I will pick TWO WINNERS! So Good Luck Everybody! Have you tried this polisher by Pixi?

ReplyDeleteIt was you who first introduced me to Pixi and since then, I've tired out one of their palettes you've reviewed (I forgot the name lol) and loved it! The next I want to try is the Glow, which you've also reviewed and I remember you loved as well. Now, you've got me curious about this one! I have combination/oily skin, so this may work well on me, I need to check it out! Thanks for sharing, beautiful, and I hope you have a great weekend ahead!

This is one of the products I have not tried yet, but would love to! I use a similar one, but with glycolic instead of lactic, and even with my combination oily skin I wouldn´t use it more often than once a week, two times at max. Thank you for the giveaway!

Oh this sounds like a lovely product - although I do have sensitive skin so I wouldn't be able to use it often!
ReplyDeleteI really need to check out Pixi here as you (and other bloggers I've read) always have such nice things to say about them.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend Kim! :)

Pixi sounds like a lovely and generous brand. I love brands that appreciate their customers.
ReplyDeleteI never think of myself as having dry skin, but after almost a decade of living near the ocean, I'm noticing a lot more dryness now that I've moved to central Canada, so this probably isn't the right product for me right now - but I'll keep it in mind for the future, because when it comes to skincare, you never know what can change!

I hadn't heard much about Pixi beauty but this sounds great and I do love a good brightener/exfoliator!
