2017 Fall Dress Trends

With the summer coming to an end, now is a good time to hit the shops and treat yourself to some warmer clothes. Most retailers are starting to stock their fall ranges. You can already buy some really nice plus size dresses from Blue Bungalow, which will keep you nice and warm as well as looking great.

This fall there are some radical new dress trends for you to tap into. As you will see, there really is something for everyone. So, please read on, enjoy and be inspired.

Red rules

When it comes to dresses, the number one color is red. If you have a party to attend they are a fantastic option. However, you could potentially wear one to the office. Pairing it with a black jacket to tone it down a bit will make a red dress more suitable for the average workplace environment.

Plaid and tweed

A number of runway fashion designers have included plaid in their latest collections. Stella McCartney came up with a stunning dress that was made from a mix of different tweeds and tartans.

At this stage, it is hard to say if this look will go mainstream, but there is a good chance that it will. After all, these traditional fabrics are warm and durable, as well as interesting to look at. The fact that they are closely woven and generally high-quality also means that they hang well. They will wear well, but are likely to need to be dry cleaned rather than be machine washable.

Party dress trends

For many of us, the fall and winter months mean the chance to party. At this time of the year, there are lots of special occasions and traditional holidays to celebrate. So, naturally, a lot of women need party dresses.

Velvet dresses

Long velvet dresses are set to be a particularly popular option. They are soft, flattering and flexible, so look good as well as being ideal for those who love to dance all night. For those of you with a fuller figure a nice fish tail cut can work wonders and show off your curves in a way you never dreamed was possible.

Last year, embellished and lace dresses were all the rage. For 2017, a lot of us will be giving these away and buying something made from some sort of metallic fabric instead. Pearl and gold lamé dresses are set to be particularly popular. There are lots of different cuts available, so most women will be able to wear this style of party dress.

The right dress for you

As you can see there is plenty of choice available. It really does not matter if you need a dress for the office, a party or just to wear to the shops you are not going to have a problem finding what you want. In fact, there is so much choice you are going to want to narrow down your options before you go shopping. This article will help you to do exactly that. When you read it you will learn which dress styles are most likely to suit your body type and shape.

  1. I do miss having a job to dress for. My cook weather wardrobe is jeans everyday around the house. Dresses are much more fun to shop for than other clothing items.

  5. Love reading about fall trends. Even though I am not a fan because it reminds me of my childhood wardrobe, velvet is definitely back in style!
