Too Faced x Kandee Johnson I Want Kandee Event Party at Dylan's Candy Bar Los Angeles + Swatches
My newest pleasure you guys is looking (on Snapchat) at all of the beauty events influencers attend. Too Faced just released TWO makeup collections simultaneously (I Want Kandee and Peaches & Cream). My eyes LIT UP when I saw Kandee Johnson's, I Want Kandee party at Dylan's Candy Bar in Los Angeles (OH HOW I WISH 1. I lived in LA 2. Wish I was invited to the event). A Candy Land theme!?! Yes! Please! I kept screen-shooting! This had to be a blog post! The PR packages the influencers received were LOLLIPOPS with the MAKEUP IN THE LOLLIPOP! How cute! Well for them! LOL Now I understand why makeup & skincare product prices are constantly getting higher and HIGHER! Companies are hosting events, parties and even trips! Kandee's outfit was a rubber top, skirt and Christian Louboutin heels. Only Kandee can wear a rubber outfit! It looked so good on her. I've only followed her for a couple of years. So many have followed her for YEARS. The best way to describe her is EFFERVESCENT. When I watch her stories, she puts a SMILE on my face. At first I didn't think this collection would fit me, but I saw some reviews & tutorials on YouTube that made me change my mind. I purchased some things and when ULTA (the I WANT KANDEE COLLECTION is exclusive to ULTA) sends them, I'll review them on here for you. I also purchased a lot from the Peaches & Cream Collection (exclusive to Sephora). I compiled these pics just to show you. Not everyone uses Snapchat or follows all of these influencers. My influencer crush is Alex Faction (largest picture below). He is SO CUTE! But darn it ... He's gay! LOL Everything about him oozes cool! Both collections are out NOW!

That Alex is a cutie pie:D And thanks for the heads up about this Kandee collection, Kim! I used to watch Kandee a lot, even before she made it BIG, which just goes to show you how long ago was that! I haven't checked her channel out in years so it's good to know she's still going strong. This makeup collection loos so darn cute:)

The collection looks great, but the party even better! It's so fun how you get a glimpse into people's lives through apps like snapchat. While I haven't figured it out yet I do send things to my sister now and then through it. I use insta stories more, I can manage that but sometimes still need help from my sister with snapchat haha.

Wow - what an event! It takes a special kind of person to wear a rubber outfit and pull it off ;) It looks like Too Faced really pulled out all the stops for this collection. Instinctively, I wouldn't think candy-themed make-up would suit my classic style, but honestly, a lot of these colours look really wearable! I guess you can really never say never, especially when it comes to beauty.

I hate when brands make collections exclusive to one stores. As a Canadian, I don't have access to Ulta. I feel like these brands are more loyal to the business side and not to their customers. I was interested in the eyeshadow palette. http://www.mrsqbeauty.com

This collection is totally adorable and the launch event worked so perfectly with the theme. Yes only Kandee can make a rubber outfit like that look so cute.
ReplyDeleteI'm relieved to hear that Harvey only brought rain to NOLA. You guys certainly don't need any more flooding after being ravaged so badly by Katrina and still not fully recovering. Kandee Johnson was one of the first YTers I ever followed (never read her blog) and I admire how much positivity she can spread despite many hardships she had to endure throughout her life.

ReplyDeletei used to watch Kandee years ago but don't watch that much youtube any more, glad she's got a line though she's incredibly talented and deserves it. I'm most interested in the matte liquid lips I think!
