Sponsored: Do you fill in your eyebrows or have you ever tried? I tried using a pencil a LONG TIME AGO. I don't know if I picked the wrong shade or was heavy-handed, but the results were severe (super dark eyebrows). I never went outside the house (Thank God), but vowed never to try filling in my eyebrows again. I have this ongoing worry with makeup about looking artificial or fake. I have a habit of playing it safe. You have to realize, I grew up in the 80's. Whenever I think of overdone eyebrows I think of Madonna's "Who's That Girl" movie and a teacher I had in elementary school whose eyebrows were literally drawn in AND the wrong color (she was super smart...just not smart with makeup...but in her defense she didn't have the choices or formulas we have today... and no, she didn't have health problems...as you can see, I don't like talking about people. It just all turned me against overdone brows). Well that brings me to today's review...IT Cosmetics Brow Power $24! What I thought would be my least favorite product is one of my favorites. It's a UNIVERSAL brow pencil (Taupe)! Meaning it's for everybody! I know. I had my doubts (and the color still may not work for 100% of the population). But if you look at my swatches below, you will see three (3) shades of brown: light, medium and dark (ALL from this one pencil). One stroke will be light coverage (light brown), go over your brows again the second time (medium brown), and the third time (dark brown). If you don't want to do all of those strokes, just press harder and you'll achieve the same thing. This is a dual-ended pencil. The slanted edge of this pencil creates perfect hair-like strokes, that mimic the hairs in your brows. I went over my brows twice in the picture below and I show a comparison to what my brows looked like without Brow Power. I liked what I saw in the mirror. I really loved what I saw when I looked at my picture. My brows don't look overdone. They look soft & natural. I feel this gave them more shape & definition. Nothing smudged. Everything stayed in place. I will definitely be adding this to my beauty routine. The opposite end, is a spooley brush, where you can brush your brow hair upwards and shape them. Another thing I like about Brow Power is for every Brow Power pencil sold, IT Cosmetics donates one to Look Good Feel Better to help women with cancer. Now that's awesome! NOTE: I was given and IT Cosmetics Brow Power at an IT Cosmetics Happy Hour event I attended. However all opinions in this review are 100% my own. How do you like my brows? >.< Tell me your past & current brow story.

Your brows look great Kim! I have to use a pencil to fill mine in because I over plucked them so much when I was a teenager! I've been trying to let them grow out for a year or so now but it's taking forever. This pencil sounds nice! I'll definitely have to try it sometime!
I have started with pencil and always come back to it as I feel it gives me the most control. My brows dont need much, but I have a Little sparse area that I like to fill in.
I've been filling in my brows for a long time now. It started when I was anemic, which meant none of my hair was growing very quickly - my brows began to look patchy and so I filled in those patches. Over time, I've gotten a bit more experimental and I liked to play with a more defined shape. But the only product I ever use is an eyeshadow lighter than my natural brow colour, which still qualifies as playing it safe, I think. The shadow I use is part of a larger palette I don't intend to replace, so when it runs out, I just might give this a try! xox, Cee
I've never really fussed with my brows much but yours look awesome Kim - it's great this product is working for you and you're so happy with it! It does look like lots of people could use it from the swatches :)
i go thru phases...started with powder, then pencil, now back to powder. i'm too heavy handed with pencils, but they are so much easier...and i think it's really hard to find the right color! i like how natural yours look.
I definitely fill in my brows. I like to use a pomade. I have actually never used a pencil to fill them in. Your brows look great Kim. They look natural and not over done. Great product! 💖
I don't fill in my eyebrows - I do sometimes add some length to one of them as its short compared to the other. But I dont do it all the time because i am afraid i will rub it off- I like the difference it makes in your brows, its subtle but noticeable.
Look at your fabulous brows Kim! I learned the hard way that if you overpluck your brows they don't always grow back so I need a little help in that dept. I usually use Glossier's Boy Brow which is a like a mascara for brows but now I'm really intrigued by this Brow Power. It's awesome how it gives back as well.

ReplyDeleteThis is such an awesome product, especially for people like me who don't give much attention to my brows.

Your eyebrows really do look good! I have dark brows already, but this would be nice for definition!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds amazing, Kim! My current favourite eyebrow pencil is Mac Spiked but will keep tis in mind for the future.

I think I have a sample size of this. I will have to try it again. I didn't know they donate money with the sale of this item. That's great!
ReplyDeleteI love the results of this! Your brows look defined and polished, but still natural. x

ReplyDeleteI have no eyebrows so I have to wear it every day. Lol. Although my sister suggested that I should just tattoo them, but I'm a chicken. Lol.

Great product Kim! Your brows look so nice, I use the Benefit gel but find it too drying these days.
