Frank Body Cherry Bomb Lip Scrub & Lip Tint Review

Cherry Bomb! Cherry Bomb! Did these bomb or are they the bomb? Frank Body is a skincare company out of Australia. I first learned about them a couple of years ago, by watching the Snapchat stories of one of the Nudestix owners. She raved about their products. I never tried any of their products, because they mainly make coffee-based skincare (body scrubs, creams, moisturizers, face masks, cleansers & lip care). Due to my sensitive skin, coffee skincare products can be a little too much for my skin. So when I found out they made a cherry lip scrub, I had to try it. Their Cherry Bomb Lip Scrub ($14.95) & Lip Tint ($11.95) (There's also a set on their website that offers BOTH for $21.95) were out of stock for the longest at ULTA, but I finally got my hands on them. I've been testing them out & below are my thoughts.

Frank Body | Cherry Bomb Lip Scrub ($14.95) - Sweet

The company describes this lip scrub as naturally derived, cruelty-free and free from the nasties. Frank Body is natural skincare company. This lip scrub is a blend of coffee seed oil, raw sugar and ethically sourced beeswax and grapefruit extract. I'll list the full ingredients below, but nowhere does it say CHERRIES (LOL). But it SMELLS LIKE CHERRIES! IT TASTES LIKE CHERRIES! IT LOOKS AND FEELS LIKE A CHERRY SLUSHIE! It's an excellent exfoliator. It has a lot of power to it. It provides some moisture, but if you wipe your lips with a hand towel afterwards, the moisture is gone. I suggest patting your lips afterwards. I love the super-sleek packaging and colors (brown, white & red). The packaging is so slim, you'll swear it's lip balm. But once you dive into it, you will know it's a scrub. I was impressed. This also comes in their original coffee flavor. If you're looking for exfoliation, then this is a great buy.

Sucrose (Sugar), Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Hydrated Silica, Beeswax (Cera Alba), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Flavour (Aroma), Red 6 Lake, Yellow 5 Lake. Total naturally derived: 95.3%

Frank Body | Cherry Bomb Lip & Cheek Tint ($11.95) - Supersweet
This lip tint, feels SO GOOD on the lips! One application gave me a good 6-8 hours of moisture. And that's all you feel is MOISTURE. It's smooth. It's not sticky, greasy or tacky. Your lips look fresh, plump & juicy. This lip tint gives your lips the sweetest color (pinkish-red). It's like a flush of color. You can also use it on your cheeks. Again, love the packaging! It's a squeeze-y tube. It looks like jam when dispensed (very thick), but doesn't feel like it. It's very lightweight. I love the moisture it gave my lips. I was very impressed. You really have to squeeze the tube because of it's thickness and this doesn't taste like cherries (no flavor at all, but it will make your lips look like you've been eating them) but those are the only negatives I can say about it. This is made of lanolin, coffee seeds, ethically-sourced beeswax and coconut oil. Both the scrub and tint together are a nice pairing.

  2. Oh I didn't even know they did anything other than body scrubs, haha! I was looking at the coffee scrubs in store here with my sister the other day, I must have missed the lip scrubs! :)

Hope that you had a nice weekend :) We went out for dinner on Friday and I caught up with a blogging friend on Saturday so it was a good weekend here! :)

  3. Both of these sound good enough to eat, Kim:D I am a huge fan of cheek and lip tints so great to know that this Frank Body one is wonderful. My faves are Julie Hewett and Stila, but can't hurt to try something new especially if it sounds awesome!:D
    Have a lovely Monday!

  4. I actually had the opportunity to try some of Frank's coffee-based skincare products years ago. Like many dark coloured body products, I found them too messy to actually be practical, although I did love the way they worked. I'm going to have to be on the look out for these!

  12. These sound lovely. A good lip expoliator is such an important step in our lip routine. I think raw sugar is more healthy than industrial sugar? I know this is not a product one ears, but still it's good they are using a healthier option. It is also nice these products are cruelty free....but it makes me wonder...How come they taste like cherries if there are no cherries in them? Maybe it just has to do with the combination of ingredients. It's like that one time when I made a vegetable soup that tasted like fish soup. I wish I knew how I did it! My cousin told me of this chef who is famous for his fish soup and there is actually no fish in his soup recipe. :)
