Pixi Beauty Glow-y Gossamer Duos and Liquid Fairy Lights Review and Swatches

PR Sample - Pixi Beauty sent me a pr package containing their Glow-y Gossamer Duos (highlighters) and Liquid Fairy Lights (liquid eye shadows). All of these will take your GLOW to a whole new level. Let's start with the Pixi Glow-y Gossamer Duos ($18)! Pixi Beauty states they are powders that will create a lit-from-within luminosity. Pixi suggests that you use these on your cheeks & brow bones and anywhere you want to add a touch of glow. I found these to be highly pigmented and they applied really well. Subtle Sunrise is a pink & gold combination. Delicate Dew seems to be more a peachy pink & silver combination. Despite all of this they were just a little too icy on the skin for my taste. I just felt they sat atop my makeup and didn't blend in with my makeup. They're ok. I just feel they are not for everyday. Only for special events like festivals & parties. The Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights ($15) come in 5 shades. Pixi describes them as long wearing, liquid glimmer eye shadows that light up the eyes with super sparkles to create an ethereal look. They're infused with chamomile and rose extracts to soothe and hydrate. These contain a lot of sparkle & chunky bits. The good news is that they apply well. When applied they adhere to the lid of the eyes. But when you remove them, with makeup remover expect glitter under your eyes, on your nose etc. It gets everywhere. In my pictures below, I applied these to my eyelids & as a lip topper. Its a little too much sparkle for me. These look better if you do an eye look (with eyeshadow) and then apply these atop the eye shadow. If you wear contacts, remove them before removing these liquid eye shadows. Again, these are great if you're going to a festival, party etc. I don't see any of these used for everyday.

Luxie Beauty Kabuki Rose Gold Collection, Complete Face Set and Perfection Set Makeup Brush Review

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links. I get commission for purchases or clicks made through links in this post.

Not Sponsored: Hey Guys! I treated myself this past Christmas to several sets of Luxie Beauty makeup brushes. I can't believe it's almost Christmas again and there are only 96 more days until Halloween! Unbelievable. I've had a chance to use all of these and wanted to share my thoughts with you. I really love them. Luxie makeup brushes are both vegan & cruelty free. I like the fact they are are sturdy, the bristles are super soft, they dry overnight and so far they've held up really well. No bristle is out of place. What I super love, is that they are labeled! Luxie tells you on the handle exactly what that brush is called, so in turn it pretty much tells you what it is used for. When I started my blog back in 2012, I didn't realize how serious I was going to get into makeup. I probably only had 5 makeup brushes at the time. HaHaHa Well during this time, I have learned that having the right makeup brushes really makes a difference in your makeup application. I use my Beautyblender a lot for foundation, concealer, blush and contour but sometimes (depending on the formula from a brand) I need to use a makeup brush. I also still use my BlendSMART2 rotating makeup brush (review here). I'm finding with makeup, one tool doesn't fit all. I purchased these makeup brush SETS, because they were so much more economical then buying them individually. But what's great about Luxie is you can purchase most of these individually. If you know you're only going to use certain brushes or know exactly what you need, than buying individually will work out better for you. I purchased these sets from Nordstrom. The only negative that I would give is that even though all the handles to these makeup brushes are the same color they vary in darkness & lightness. I hope you can pick that up in my pictures. I just wish that was more consistent. But other than that, they are absolutely superb! Another thing I felt was helpful, was Luxie has videos on YouTube featuring all of these brushes and their uses. In the future, I may put together a video outlining my most used and favorite Luxie makeup brushes. I condensed the uses for each makeup brush below. I hope this helps you if you're thinking about purchasing these.
