Bliss Fabulips Sugar Lip Scrub & Polish Review

Did someone say COOKIE? Sugar Cookie!?! Ok! I'm for it! I haven't met a cookie I don't like (well, I don't like anything coconut or chocolate/mint). But my favorite cartoon character as a child was the Cookie Monster! I digress. Bliss just recently came out with a lip scrub called Fabulips! What made me purchase this lip scrub, was Bliss' reference to this lip scrub as being on a 'Sugar Cookie High'. Take me there Bliss! Take me there! This lip scrub contains super-fine sugar, cocoa butter and walnut shells. Bliss states it will buff away dry skin and create smoother lips. This product is also free from parabens, phthalates, sls, sles and more. This lip scrub is also cruelty free. Now my take! Really cute packaging. Bliss gets an A+ for the raspberry pink & blue turquoise color scheme. This is even carried down to the jar. It's delightful to look at and I love the spoon on the side of the box with the miniature sugar-cubes. My brain automatically thinks tea & cookies (biscuits for my UK readers). I immediately wanted to smell this lip scrub! I twisted the cap. I put the jar to my nose. It wasn't giving me baked sugar cookie vibes. The scent smells maybeeeee like cookie dough. It's more vanilla in my opinion. The scent is super soft & airy. You can see the walnut specks in this lip scrub. No taste. There's nothing there. This lip scrub feels more like an ointment. I applied it to my lips and the walnut shells do a great job exfoliating the lips. They get the job done. With your finger, work the scrub all over your lips. You also feel the cocoa butter moisturizing your lips. NOW! Usually with lip scrubs, you wash them away afterwards with water. STOP! DON'T DO THAT WITH THIS! Bliss tells you to massage this onto your lips and then wipe off! In my excitement I didn't read the directions at first, but I followed them the second time. My lips felt moisturized. I've never tried a lip scrub you just wipe off. I usually have to rinse. So this is really good, if you're on the go and need lip exfoliation PRONTO (like on a plane, in a car etc.). YOU DON"T NEED WATER FOR THIS! It's effective. It gets the job done. I just wish it had more of a BAKED sugar cookie scent and taste. That part I was disappointed in. For the girl or guy that is a traveler or constantly on the go get this. Someone who is more stationery or at home, stick with what you normally use. This is a more "in-case-of-lip-exfoliation-needed-right-now-emergency-open-this-jar-NOW". It's more for a traveler! Handy to have, but not necessary. I was going to give it a bittersweet rating, but because of its usefulness, I'll bump it up to a sweet rating. It's something I would just keep on hand...yeah, in case you don't have water!
