Not Sponsored: When I saw swatches of Tarte's Shape Your Money Maker Eye and Cheek Palette on Leopard Lace and Cheesecake's (my blog buddy Tanya) blog, I knew I had to get it. I love neutrals and this palette is loaded with them. I think this palette came out the end of 2017. I wasn't in a rush to buy it, but Tarte has been offering a number of sales ... so I scooped it up. Tarte claims this palette is eye & cheek, but I see it more as eye & contour. The top row is all shimmers. The bottom row are all mattes. It's a series of browns, rusts, oranges, coppers, mauves and golds. I can see why this came out towards the end of the year, because it is geared more towards Fall & Winter. The pigmentation & quality for each are excellent and lay beautifully on the eyes. The contour shade Slim appears to be too dark, but it blends effortlessly on the skin. Flex and Cut work great as highlighters or as shimmers in the corners of the eyes. Tarte also gives you a guide to create two looks. This palette also smells good. It smells like vanilla. For the look I created below, I used Cardio all over the eye. I then used Reps in my crease. I then layered Tone Up over the outer V of my eye. I pressed Snatched over my lid. I used Cut in my inner eye. I contoured with Slim. I tried Cardio as a blush, but didn't quite care for it. So I used Tarte's Seduce blush (review) instead. My lip gloss (Beach Bum) is by Becca Chrissy Teigen. I will be reviewing her collection soon. I like this palette. Wait for a sale. It will be nice to add to your collection.
