Not Sponsored: I want to preface this review by saying, I've tried a number of oils (face & lip oil) and for the most part my skin doesn't like them. It's not that I don't want to like them, but I never see any difference in my skin (moisture). There have only been TWO that I really liked. Drunk Elephant's Virgina Marula Luxury Facial Oil ($72)(Sephora, Sephora Trial Size). However, I only like it when used in conjunction with Drunk Elephant's TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum ($90)(Sephora, Sephora Trial Size). Together, they will give you dreamy skin (review). The other is Jurlique's Skin Balancing Face Oil ($50)(review)(Amazon). I've tried Tarte's Maracuja Oil (oil extracted from passion fruit)(ULTA, Tarte, QVC, Macy's, Sephora). It proved to be very moisturizing for my hair, but it didn't seem as moisturizing for my dry skin or lips. It also seemed too heavy for both. But my skin also rejected Tarte's skincare products. Love their makeup! So I tried a deluxe sample of Josie Maran's Argan Oil (QVC, Sephora). Again, it worked ok for my skin & lips but it worked better for my hair. I've read countless reviews about both Argan & Maracuja Oil. Either people swear by one or the other. In some cases, neither works for the person or they only work in the person's hair. I guess I'm falling into that category. LOL The Drunk Elephant Oil I like contains MARULA OIL. The Jurlique Oil I like contains Safflower, Rose Hip, Avocado, Macadamia Oils, Vitamin E and Shea Butter. So maybe my skin doesn't like argan or maracuja oil. I'll refrain from rating either. But I wanted to share my experience with both products with you. Get a small bottle of each and see how your skin reacts before committing to a larger bottle.
