Shea Shea Bakery Cocoa Mud Mask Review

Not Sponsored: I'm doing a seven-part series on an assortment of products I purchased from Shea Shea Bakery. You can read my review of their candles, lip scrub, body creme and body wash here. Today, I am going to review their Cocoa Mud Mask. As mentioned previously, I LOVE chocolate skincare products. This mask looks like chocolate, but don't expect it to have a chocolate scent. It has a mud scent. That's ok (even though I wish it had a chocolate scent), because it clearly states on the label it's RAW CACAO. I scooped some out on the back of my hand. It had a beautiful chocolate color & texture. Very creamy. It has some wonderful ingredients such as rose water, bentonite clay and powdered oats. I applied it to my face. It laid beautifully on the skin. It looks like a mud mask. It rinsed off well. My skin felt soft and it draws impurities out of the skin (bentonite clay). But after drying my face, my skin felt dry. This mask is probably too much for my dry, sensitive skin. The only negative reaction that I experienced while using this was my skin feeling excessively dry. So I would suggest this mask for Oily, Combination and Normal Skin Types Only. I think it would work well for you. If you have dry skin like me, try Repechage Chocofina Moisturizing Mask (review). I love that mask! It's smells like chocolate and is moisturizing. For me, I want a mask to work but also give me a pleasurable experience. This mask smells like mud and it over-dried my skin. Oily types may appreciate this type of mask, but it's too much for me.
