Not Sponsored: Hey Everybody! I purchased some pieces from Dior's Spring 2019 Lolli'Glow Collection. For some reason, I don't purchase as much Spring/Summer makeup as I do Fall Makeup. I think it's because Spring/Summer makeup has more pastels and cool-toned colors in them and they don't work well on my skin-tone. It took years of blogging, trying & testing things to figure that out. Once you know what works for you, it really helps. I had to think back to when was the last time I even purchased anything from Dior. When I clicked on my BEAUTY tab and then DIOR, I found out I hadn't purchased anything from them since 2013/14'. That's a long time! In fact, I gave them a Bittersweet rating then. The collection had a lot of bubblegum pink in it and it just didn't suit me. Well, this collection is HUGE! It's CANDY INSPIRED! There are pinks, browns, yellows, blues and peaches. I love certain pinks (loathe others) and I'm definitely a peach girl. How did it all work out? I have to give you my thoughts on each below. To see these in action, watch my YouTube demo. I want to give a shout out to Rowena of Rolala Loves. She gave me this Compartes 'Let Them Eat Cake' candy bar a couple of years ago. It was so good. I loved the candy and I loved the packaging it came in. I thought it would be cute to include it here. It showcases an assortment of cakes beautifully decorated and a theme-inspired Marie Antoinette "getting lost" in all of them. I kept it and it is on display in my makeup room. It always makes me smile. Thank You Rowena! It's definitely a treat for the eyes.

Dior 5 Couleurs Lolli'Glow Eye Shadow Palette (Sugar Shade 257) - Bittersweet
Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor
There are TWO eyeshadow palettes! I purchased Sugar Shade #257 (peachy, brown, pink, blue, yellow). The other is called Mellow Shade #447 (blue, pink, green, yellow, peachy). You immediately think of candy when you see it! Not only the colors, but the design. They remind me of candy wrappers. Each palette contains two eye shadow applicators (different ends). Compared to the palette I purchased in 2013, the pigmentation was much better. These applied (swatched) beautifully. I used the peachy shade from my lid to crease. I used the milk chocolate brown in my crease. Its highly pigmented so it started cancelling out the peach. So I had to go back in with the peach color. You can see more of this in my video. I lined my eyes with the brown shade as well. I used the baby pink on half of my lids and the yellow on the inner corners of my eyes. All have some sparkle. This is glow makeup. So why the Bittersweet rating? The color scheme although pretty, just doesn't flow UNLESS you want to be really colorful! I'm going to use the peach & brown and maybe the baby pink. I won't be using the blue. If you watch my video, you'll know why I won't be using the yellow. For an everyday person like me, you're limited with this palette. There's not many choices for everyday. Plus, the flow of the palette. It's hard to mix colors without overpowering a color. So this palette, can be a little tricky. Really good quality. Tricky application. Go to a Dior counter if you're interested in it. It's pricey. This palette is only good for 6 months after opening it. This palette is ok. The only thing that had me skipping for joy were the shadow designs.

Dior Diorskin Nude Luminizer Lolli'Glow (Peach Delight 07) - Bittersweet
Dior's Lumenizer comes in Peach Delight and Pink Delight. I bought Peach, because I am a peachy girl! Graphic silver casing. Mirror. Very nice compact. Beautiful peachy color in the pan. Light peachy color swatched. Dior tells you to put this LUMINIZER on the bridge of your nose, cupids bow, underneath your bottom lip and the sides of your face by your eyes. I applied it like a highlighter. When I applied it to my nose, I said ... WOW, this is some powerful stuff! I didn't think anything of it. Applied it elsewhere. On my video, it looks fine. But when I stepped into the real light (sunlight) to take these pictures, I saw LOTS & LOTS of SPARKLE & SHIMMER. So if you get this, use a light hand and ONE APPLICATION is enough! It's Bittersweet because of that AND it didn't show up very peachy on my skin.

Dior Addict Lip Glow To The Max (Rosewood 212) - Sweet
There are seven color choices to choose from. Rosewood was one of my choices. It's a pinky brown shade. I want to note, these are not lipsticks but lip balms. Each has a candy themed peppermint design. They are so cute! They feel really good on the lips. They're moisturizing. Rosewood complimented my eye shadow. These lip balms also have a glow to them and will make your lips glow. They make your lips look healthy. I was pleased with Rosewood.

Dior Addict Lip Glow (Coral 204) - Sweet
I initially thought the peach shade in the eyeshadow palette was coral, so that is why I purchased this Coral lip balm. Well, the lip balm swatches orange but depending on the pigmentation of your lips is how it will turn. I have pigmented lips and it veered more pinkish red on my lips. It didn't compliment my eye makeup as much as Rosewood did. I'm not going to wear it with this collection, but on its own. It's still a pretty color and feels great. Just not with this collection.

So as you can tell, this collection was hit and miss with me. I would suggest going to a Dior counter and see how these colors work with your particular hue. I think that is what it comes down to. The quality of the products, except for that luminizer are excellent. Also for me, there's a LOT OF GLOW going on. Glowing eyes, highlighter and lips. Sometimes it's overwhelming and can make you look oily (even though all of these are powders), wet or greasy. I have SUPER dry skin, so if it is making me look that way, can you imagine someone with oily skin. I don't like a lot of shimmer. I will probably use all of these products separately. Its just too much for my personal taste. Those are my honest opinions you guys. You can take a closer look in my YouTube video. Hope you had a lovely Easter and Have A Great Week!
