All-Natural Detox Therapy … Too Good to Be True?

Your body is a temple which means you need to think about what you’re putting into it. Once you realize this you’ll quickly want to look at the way you live and what you put into your body.

Unfortunately, if you have an addiction to drugs or alcohol it’s not always as easy as just deciding to stop. That’s why many addicts check into rehab clinics in a bid to overcome their addiction.

However, the standard approach is to deprive you of the drug or alcohol and talk through your issues. It’s also standard to use pharmaceutical drugs, these help the addict to cope with giving up their addiction.

A Modern Approach
Counseling will always be an important part of detox therapy but you may be interested to know that an all-natural detox therapy is now being offered and has seen some great results.

It is classed as a holistic approach and revolves around NAD IV therapy and NR supplements. This is actually an amino acid based treatment, the theory is that these amino acids will boost your drained enzymes and help to restore your brain cells, which usually suffer during an addiction.

The therapy uses a metabolic co-enzyme, known as Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD). Research has shown that this enzyme is responsible for the repairing and remodeling of every cell in your body! This enzyme must be constantly replenished within your body but drug or alcohol dependency damages its ability to do its job.

The issue revolves around the fact that drug and alcohol addiction causes your brain to restructure at a cellular level, resulting in a need for more of the drug and damage to brain cells. In long-term addicts, this damage causes brain damage.

NAD therapy restores the brain to its original configuration, effectively removing the desire for the addicted substance while repairing damage to your brain and even other cells.

It should be noted that although NAD therapy is a recent addition to the treatment list for drug and alcohol addicts, it’s not a new therapy. It was first used to treat addicts as long ago as 1961 in South Africa.

The Process
Patients will usually have one dose of NAD IV therapy a day for 10 days, the exact mix and quantity of NAD will be decided by a qualified doctor and the dose is administered first thing in the morning; although it takes as long as 8 hours to administer the entire dose.

For 10 days the patient will be comfortable but limited in what they are able to do.

Does It Work
The short answer is yes.

Thousands of patients have been successfully treated with this all natural detox therapy. It reduces withdrawal symptoms by between 70-80%, making it acceptable for the addict. In most cases, there will be a marked improvement in the addict within just 3-4 days, although the entire course of treatment must be completed.

However, it is not a complete cure by itself. This natural detox will rebuild your brain cells and stop the cravings. But, if the addict doesn’t have counseling to deal with psychological issues they are highly likely to relapse.
