Not Sponsored: I want to incorporate Vitamin C in my skincare regimen. I love the way it makes my skin feel. Last year, I tried Fresh's Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream and loved it (reviewed here)(Nordstrom, Harrods, Neiman Marcus, Sephora). In that review, I also stated I wanted to try Fresh's Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy Boosting Face Mask (Harrods, Nordstrom, Sephora, Neiman Marcus). Well, I purchased and tried it. With Vitamin C skincare, I'm always worried about it being sticky. I'm happy to say, this face mask is not. Visually, it looks like orange marmalade. It has small chunks of what looks like orange in it. Fresh states, "This skin nutrition mask is jam-packed with fruit—50% oranges, lemons, and clementines—to refine skin for a healthy, glow-from-within look. Fueled by Fresh’s vitamin fruit complex, it does double exfoliating duty: a soft scrub from the citrus paste and a gentle chemical peel from the natural AHAs." It's important for you to know this is a BRIGHTENING and EXFOLIATING mask! Fresh goes on to say, [it's] "a brightening and exfoliating face mask powered by natural AHAs in crushed citrus fruits; vitamins C, E, and B5; and revitalizing minerals." Let me share my thoughts and results for my dry, sensitive and reactive skin. This mask smells so good. It definitely has a citrus scent. It applied really well to the skin. As I mentioned earlier, it reminds me of marmalade BUT is non-sticky. It adhered to my face really well. It doesn't slide down your face. It dries down, but never cracks on your face. When it dries down, it will have a slight orange tint. There was no tingling or any kind of sensation. I rinsed the mask off with warm water and a washcloth. The mask was easy to remove. Upon removing the mask, my skin looked brighter and it felt soft & smooth. After completely drying my face, my skin felt a little dry. Fresh states you can use this mask 2-3 times a week. For dry skin types, like myself I wouldn't. My skin felt slightly dry after ONE use. I feel this mask would work better for Oily & Combination Skin Types. If you have dry or normal skin, I would get a sample and test it at home. I never experienced any redness or irritation while using this mask, but I only could use it once a week. Is this mask good? Yes, but I feel for certain skin types. I don't feel this mask is beneficial for my dry skin. So far, I haven't found a Vitamin C mask for me. REN's Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask (reviewed here) was VERY GOOD but too strong for my skin type. This Fresh Face Mask is about the gentlest that I've tried, but still too much for my skin. I'm really loving The Cottage Greenhouse face mask I just tried, but it is a mix of orange blossom & honey (reviewed here). My skin seems to do better with Vitamin C serums and moisturizers. After trying both the Fresh Vitamin Nectar Face Mask & Face Cream, I'm really liking the REN Radiance Perfection Serum and Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream (reviewed here) better. The REN products in comparison to Fresh's products are more lightweight. I can see myself using the REN products year round. They also give my skin a more natural "glow" than the Fresh products. I recently repurchased the Fresh Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream and feel its better for Nighttime/Fall/Winter use. It dries down, but not as quick as the REN products. I can also use the REN products both day & night. I know this review was a lot of back & forth, but it's important to compare & contrast products to see what BENEFITS YOUR SKIN! I'm always in search of whats best for my skin. The only way to find out, is to try different products. I love blogging, because I can share my experiences with you (and hopefully save you money & time). Even if something doesn't work for me, I try to take into consideration if it would work for someone else :) I'm not through trying Fresh's Vitamin Nectar Collection. Tomorrow, I will review Fresh's Vitamin Nectar Glow Water | Skin Nutrition Face Mist and Friday their Vitamin Nectar Glow Juice Antioxidant Face Serum. So stay tuned!
