Upon application, Perfect Canvas adds hydration while smoothing, plumping and priming for makeup application." Whew! That's a lot! Let me share my experience. You dispense this primer by using the dropper. The formula is clear and very lightweight. I found that it dried quickly, so I applied a couple of drops to each section of my face. REN suggests adding 2-3 drops to your fingertips and pressing it over the face and neck until fully absorbed. I think it dries too quickly for this, so I applied it to each section of my face. Your skin will INSTANTLY feel hydrated, look plumper and have a beautiful natural looking glow. I would suggest letting this serum/primer sink into your skin, dry and give it just a couple of minutes to "do its thing". I applied my Too Faced Born This Way foundation to test this primer. The foundation adhered well. I went about my day (98 degree heat and a downpour of rain in the afternoon) and this is how my face ended up at the end of the day (picture below). A little foundation off the nose & side of the nose, but that was it. Very little separation. REN's Perfect Canvas (Neiman Marcus, Selfridges, Nordstrom, Revolve, SpaceNK, Net-A-Porter, Bloomingdales, Sephora, Dermstore, is a very good face primer. There's no scent. It's lightweight. It's hydrating. It plumps without any sensation. Makeup adheres well. You get a nice little glow. It does help with fine lines. Its nice. This is the first primer (I have used) that has Probiotics (help lock in moisture and strengthens skin's natural barriers), Blue Agave Extract (smooth skin) and Alpha-Glucans (help to keep healthy looking skin and support skin's natural skin microbiome).
