How To Get The Most Out Of A Trip To Canada

Canada is a land of natural wonders and thriving, bustling cities. Very few people visit the country and fail to return home head over heels in love with it. Below, we take a look at how to get the most of your first trip to Canada.

Pick Your Destinations
The first thing that you need to know is that Canada is absolutely massive. It is one of the biggest countries in the world! And if you are coming from the USA or UK, you will quickly realize that you will not be able to see everything on one single trip. As such, you will want to research your destinations and plan a sensible route, one that will not have you forever hopping from one destination to the next because you only have limited time. It is generally best to focus on the east or the west, though it is possible to see both coasts if you are OK with flying while there. You also need to make sure that your ETA (electronic travel authorization) is organized - Evisumservice helps you out with this process.

Hit the Road
But before you book those flights, keep in mind that Canada makes a brilliant road trip. It is vast, as we said, so it is not feasible to do an east to west trip (unless you have several weeks to see everything), but it is still recommended to hire a car (or perhaps a van) and make a smaller trip. The trip to Calgary out to Vancouver, for instance, is breathtaking practically every step of the way. Having a set of wheels will also allow you to experience the natural wonder of the country, too.

The Cities
Canada is home to some pretty awesome cities! There is Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, just to name a few. If you like the traditional big city vibe, then head to Toronto - it has something of a New York look and feel to it. Vancouver is rightly regarded as one of the world’s best cities, so book your accommodation and get to exploring. It is a multicultural, forward-thinking city, with plenty of nature surrounding it, so you could feasibly stay for a week or more and have a jam-packed adventure each day you are there. Into fashion? Sweet Jolie is an example of why Canadian women dress so well.

In Nature
You can’t visit Canada and not get into nature. Even if you are usually more of a city person, we promise that the beauty of Canada is well-worth strapping on some hiking boots and getting into the outdoors! There is beauty throughout the country, but the most majestic and grand is in the west. Head to Banff and Jasper National Park, and up to Whistler in BC, and you’ll return home with more beautiful photographs and memories than you know what to do with.

That is going to be your first taste of Canada, but it will not be your last, of that we are sure!
