Superbowl LIV Recap: Miami-Florida, The Commercials and The Halftime Show

Not Sponsored: Even if you're not a football fan, there was a lot to love about Superbowl LIV (Superbowl 54). It was the eleventh time it was held in Miami, Florida (and for good reason). I've been to Miami (specifically Ocean Drive and Coconut Grove), and it is absolutely GORGEOUS. I encourage you to go. I watched the NFL Network the entire week leading up to the Superbowl to see many of the attractions leading up to the big game. They showed the Gianni Versace Mansion & Hotel, Gloria Estefan, clubs & hotels on Ocean Drive, and of course the beach. I'm truly ready to pack my bags and go back (it's long overdue). Where I didn't see the need for any improvement the last time I went, somehow Miami has improved the area with more great things. You truly feel like you're in a different world when you go there. If it wasn't for hurricanes (I know ... I live in New Orleans), but they're even further down. I would live there. The quality of life is so much better. Great food. Exercise. Wonderful entertainment. It's a beautiful place.

As far as the game, I like both Jimmy Garoppolo (San Francisco 49ers) and Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs). I knew it would be a great game, because both are really good teams. However, in the first quarter you could just see the "fire" and "desire" in the Kansas City Chiefs players. Congratulations to the Kansas City football team.

I thought Shakira and Jennifer Lopez put on a really good Superbowl Halftime performance. I love Latin music. It's always so fun and festive. I often listen to music by Chayanne, Elvis Crespo, Selena, Marc Anthony. The Super bowl halftime makes you think of past performance greats such as Michael Jackson and Prince. I loved the NFL's Here's To The Next 100 that included Drew Brees and Alvin Kamara of the New Orleans Saints. The Mardi Gras scene was pretty.

I thought Yolanda Adams (Gospel singer) did a really good job with America The Beautiful.
I will always love Whitney Houston's 1991 version of our National Anthem (Superbowl XXV)
Her voice was a gift from GOD.

Below are a few of my favorite 2020 Superbowl commercials.
