Not Sponsored: I've heard so many funny stories about castor oil from my mom and others. Their parents use to give them castor oil to fend off and get rid of colds. It was also used to "eliminate" pretty much "everything" inside of you. LOL But anyway, when I saw Kreysol Essence's Haitian Castor Oil (here) in Chocolate I was curious. I mean, CHOCOLATE makes everything better right!?! Well, its 100% natural Haitian Black Castor Oil and its used to promote "thick, shiny long, healthy-looking hair". It has omega fatty acids (3,6,9), vitamin E and ricinoleic acid. This oil can also be used on the skin (to hydrate dry skin). So you have sustainable development, natural ingredients, paraben free, and not tested on animals. First, lets talk scent. It has a delightful chocolate, roasted coffee scent. You should shake the bottle of its contents before using it. It has a functional dropper. This oil has a syrup consistency. Its pretty heavy. For the hair, use the dropper to place the oil on the scalp (not hair). Oil EXPANDS!!! So Don't place it near your face. Place it further back. I used this entire bottle. I had scalp damage several years ago. My hair is still trying to grow and recover. I wear my hair back. I say that, because this was easy for me to use because I slick my hair back. With it being such a heavy oil, it might be hard for you to style your hair during the day while using this (unless you have super coarse, or long curly hair). If you have thin hair, you may have to put it in a bun. This oil made my hair very soft and even though its THICK, it washes out very cleanly. Its highly moisturizing. Its just what you have to go through while using it which was a little deterring. I can see using it at night, but during the day might possibly be challenging. It also made my skin soft, but its a little heavier than I think I need. Two products that are helping my hair that are much lighter and easier to use is Bumble & Bumble Invisible Oil and The Body Shop Banana Conditioner. Both keep my hair soft and conditioned. Kreyol Essence Haitian Black Castor Oil is a good product, its just you have to go through a lot.
