I've tried a lot of expensive ones, but my favorite is Soap & Glory's Breakfast Scrub (reviewed here; purchase ULTA, Walgreens) which is my holy grail and I've been using since 2014. It makes my skin smooth (works great on my sensitive skin). It moisturizes my dry skin without being greasy or oily. It washes cleanly off my skin. I always recommend it. Soap & Glory just released a new (i thought it was a) body scrub called Scrub For Joy (Walgreens, ULTA, Kohls). But my dear friends, this is not a body scrub :( , if you look under Scrub For Joy you will see the words BODY POLISH (there is a difference!). A polish is gentler than a scrub (sometimes a little too gentle). So what are my thoughts about Scrub For Joy? One. Do you like the scent of rose/floral? I am not a fan, but as soon as you open the jar ... THERE IT IS! Soap & Glory describes it as "it's scented with a mood-boosting blend with uplifting notes of
grapefruit and exuberant rhubarb. Expertly designed to uplift the
senses." I eat grapefruit everyday, but this smells florally rose to me. So ignoring the scent, how effective is it as a scrub? Again, it is NOT A SCRUB. It is a polish! It looks like marmalade. When you apply it to wet skin, it gets foamy. It didn't really exfoliate my skin. I used this just as it started turning cold. Once a year, the skin on my hands start flaking and I said let me try this new scrub/polish (I was all out of my breakfast scrub). I was so disappointed. This polish didn't help me at all. My hands were left with a strong scent and not exfoliated. I threw mine away. The key ingredients in this polish. Vitamin C known to brighten & improve the appearance of skin. Vitamin E known to nourish & keep skin hydrated. If you love floral or strong scents. If you don't need much exfoliation. Then be my guest and purchase it. But I didn't like it and wouldn't recommend it. Buy The Breakfast Scrub. Its much better.
