Not Sponsored: I've raved for years, about how much I love Bobbi Brown's Vitamin Enriched Face Base (reviewed here). I've been using it since 2016. Its an excellent face primer, as well as moisturizer. Well, now Bobbi Brown has come out with a Vitamin Enriched Eye Base (Bloomingdales, Macys, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sephora, QVC, JCPenney, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom). It's an eye cream & primer in one. I love how she has come out with this, but thought isn't this kind of EXTRA? Do we really need this? Isn't Face Base enough? In 2016, Face Base was enough for me. Now, we're in 2021 and I just turned 49. I already had dry skin, but I've been mentioning in various posts how I was a little drier under my eyes ... a little darker under my eyes ... and have some fine lines under my eyes. I've been using Bobbi Brown's Hydrating Eye Cream and it has helped A LOT. It's very nourishing to my eye area. I wish I would've used eye creams/moisturizers when I was younger. I felt they weren't necessary. I felt a face moisturizer was enough. I want to stress to you how important skincare should be in your beauty regime. Know your skin type (oily, dry, normal, combination)! Going to a dermatologist, will help you correctly determine your skin type. Buy skincare products that are tailored to your needs! That's why the first step is so important. I've used Mary Kay, Cetaphil, and now REN Skincare with much success. Don't be surprised how your skincare regimen will change as you get older. And finally, don't neglect your ears, under-eye area, neck or decollete. Those areas are often overlooked. I should write a post about those areas ... I think I will. Well Eye Base has been working like a charm for me. It has Vitamins B3, B5, B6, B9, B12, Sodium Hyaluronate and Shea Butter. Bobbi Brown's website states that Eye Base will awaken, replenish, provide immediate and long-term moisture to your under-eye area. I've been using it for a month now and I definitely see a difference. My under eye area is plumper, more hydrated and brighter. It's really helped with my concealer application (and I'm using less concealer). I use Becca's Under Eye Brightening Corrector. Has everyone heard about Becca Cosmetics? They're ceasing operations September 2021 :( I liked them. I will have to stock up. So, I say all of this to let you know to put more emphasis on your under-eye area. A face moisturizer may seem like enough for you right now, but later on it won't be enough. The under-eye area needs more nourishment. Its a thinner layer of skin than the rest of your face. I love this primer + moisturizer combo and feel you will as well.
