Not Sponsored: If you love seafood, ACME Oyster House is a restaurant you will want to visit OVER and OVER and OVER again. I know I have. They just have REALLY ... REALLY good food. In Louisiana, they have locations in Baton Rouge, French Quarter (New Orleans), Metairie (which I'm showcasing today) and Houston. They also participate in the New Orleans Oyster Festival and Zurich Classic. They are known for their Chargrilled Oysters. You might as well order a dozen, because everyone at the table will want some. The oysters are super delicious and so is the french bread. You will also want to order a bowl of their Seafood Gumbo. I always suggest ordering a bowl of gumbo, because you get a true taste and sample of all ingredients (more than a cup would offer). Not shown are their Po-Boy Sandwiches. If you don't order one at the restaurant, be sure to take one home with you. They are so delicious! They offer an array of poboy sandwiches (shrimp, oyster, fish, crawfish, soft shell crab, ham, turkey, hot sausage and the list goes on ...). I had their Fish Pontchartrain (which is fish topped with crabmeat and shrimp). I had fries, but sweet potato fries are healthier for you. You should also try their Fried Seafood Platter or The Captain's Platter (note to self, order that next).
