Not Sponsored: Since I LOVE Bobbi Brown's Vitamin Enriched Face Base, Vitamin Enriched Eye Base, Hydrating Eye Cream, and Hydrating Water Fresh Cream, I thought I would try her NEW Extra Repair Moisture Cream Intense (Macy's, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Harrods, Bobbi Brown). After reading some comments on her site, this product is not really new. It's a new formula, from what everyone is saying. I've never tried it. I purchased it anyway. I like to form my own opinion. I have super dry skin. It's winter time. Bring on the MOISTURE! The jar that holds this moisturizer is super-luxe. It's a very heavy frosted glass container. Bobbi Brown's insignia is on the lid atop the jar. When you open the lid, there's a removable pot that holds the product (moisturizer). The idea is for you is to purchase the frosted jar w/lid and moisturizer initially. When you use up the moisturizer, you purchase a refill pot instead of buying the entire thing over and over again. This moisturizer has a really fresh, clean scent. It looks like marshmallow goodness. It's fluffy and whipped. That is where my sweet dream ended with this product. When I applied this moisturizer to my face, I felt that it sat atop my skin. I've dealt with heavy moisturizers before (ex: Glossier Futuredew Oil Serum), that start off heavy but eventually absorb into the skin. I kept waiting, but it never "dried down". It felt heavy, oily, greasy. It didn't feel good on my skin. I said, well maybe when I wake up ... wash everything off, I'll have moisturized skin. I did that and my skin didn't feel the least moisturized. I don't like this moisturizer, I wouldn't recommend for any skin type and I won't be purchasing it anymore. I SUPER LOVE the moisturizers from her that I linked in my first sentence. Vitamin Enriched (primer/moisturizer) is my absolute FAVORITE! You can slather it on your skin, lips, eyes and your skin will feel GRRRREAT!!! You won't feel an oily, greasy mess. For Spring/Summer use her Hydrating formula. This right here, needs to go back to the drawing board. If my super dry skin can't take it, I don't see how any other skin type can.
