Not Sponsored: I'm reviewing some products from skincare brand Naturopathica. I purchased their Marshamallow Bliss skincare set, so that I could try their Marshmallow & Probiotic Sensitivity Soothing Cream Cleanser, Marshmallow & Ceramide Sensitivity Soothing Serum and today I would like to review their Marshamallow & Microalgae Sensitivity Soothing Creme. You can read my blog posts in detail regarding each product by clicking the links below. To give you a quick summary, the cleanser didn't work for me (I experienced redness above my cheeks) and I found the serum to be just ok in comparison to other serums I've tried. So that brings me to the Marshmallow & Microalgae Sensitivity Soothing Creme (moisturizer). Like all the other products in this collection (marshmallow collection), it's formulated for sensitive skin and Naturopathica states on their website that this creme will "instantly pacify irritation (reduce redness and calm irritation within 4 weeks) and deeply moisturize for calm, healthy-looking skin". I'll get to those things in just a minute. This moisturizer contains marshmallow (to relieve skin irritation and redness, the root of this delicate flower is known for its soothing and emollient properties), microalgae (sourced from the Mediterranean, these encapsulated microalgae calm and nourish the skin) and sacha inchi (native to South America, this plant, rich in omega-3, is known for its remarkable antioxidant properties). As far as the aesthetics of this moisturizer, it's very pleasing. It's a smooth, white, whipped, creamy moisturizer. It's very appealing. It doesn't have a scent. When you apply it to your face, it feels good. Expect the moisturizer to sit atop your skin. Let's just say, it sits there to calm any redness. It does work for redness, because when I was a little red from the cleanser, the serum and this cream (moisturizer) helped alleviate that problem. I felt that this moisturizer provided very light moisture for my dry skin. It did make my skin soft. It's good for all skin types except if you have really dry skin. If you have dry skin, I suggest ... Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base, Bobbi Brown Hydrating Water Fresh Cream (lighter), Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream (lighter), Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Eye Base. Other options are Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream, REN V-Cense Revitalizing Night Cream and REN Ultra Moisture Day Cream. The next set of products from Naturopathica that I will be reviewing for you will be from their Sweet Cherry Collection. It is composed of their lip scrub, lip butter and enzyme peel. I'll let you know my thoughts regarding those products. Stay tuned.
