Not Sponsored: When IT Cosmetics came out with IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Cream Anti-Aging Hydrating Moisturizer formula (Macys, Sephora, Nordstrom, Target) I got very excited! I love the original cream and overall Confidence In A Cream Collection. If I wasn't able to access my favorite skincare products ... REN Gentle Cleansing Milk and Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base, the Confidence In A Cream Collection would be my #2 favorite skincare products. Remember to always have an alternative option in everything (see point #10). So this cream tauts an anti-aging formula. As you get older, you just need a little more. So what does this have more of? IT Cosmetics states this formula has "2x more potent active ingredients and hydration than the original formula", that it contains "higher concentrations of niacinamide, squalane and peptide-lipid complex to reverse 10 signs of aging skin in just 2 weeks", it provides "48HR hydration; skin-loving ceramides and hyaluronic acid help to not only strengthen but repair skin moisture barrier with continued use", and that it also has a quick-absorbing formula. Well, I've tried this cream both day and night. I am NOT wowed by it at all. Yes, it's quick absorbing. My super-dry skin drank it up. My skin didn't feel moisturized, hydrated or plump. As a matter of fact, my skin was very lackluster. I was really shocked because the regular formula did MUCH BETTER than this. Even the IT Cosmetics Confidence In Your Beauty Sleep provided more moisture than this. I purchased the travel size to try and I suggest (if you're interested) that you do the same before committing to a full-size jar. Is it a bad cream, NO. But when you start touting anti-aging properties, people expect more. I don't know if I got a bad jar or what, but it left me underwhelmed and unimpressed.
Thanks for the honest review as always, Kim! That's too bad this was underwhelming, but that's good you only bought a travel size!
ReplyDeleteThanks Emmy! I'm so glad brands are making travel and deluxe samples. It's a great way to try things before committing to a full-size of the product (and spending all that money).
