Disclosure: I was sent Lancome's 2023 Advent Calendar
for review in October. There were some products in the calendar, that
I've never tried. I've decided to review those products this month. All
opinions in

PR Sample: I was pleasantly surprised to find Lancome's Absolue Soft Cream Moisturizer (Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdales, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Selfridges) in Lancome's 2023 Advent Calendar. When I saw the gold jar, I squealed with glee! For anyone that doesn't know, the Absolue (gold jar) Collection is the most expensive skincare products Lancome makes (at least, what I have seen). There are a number of Absolue products! I never researched them because of the price. HaHaHa
The Soft Cream Moisturizer is described as a brightening & revitalizing moisturizer. Lancome goes on to say, "Absolue Revitalizing & Brightening Soft Cream is a creamy yet
lightweight face moisturizer that visibly brightens & firms skin.
This luxurious cream delivers up to 24 hours of hydration for a
luminous, plump appearance." So what ingredients are in this Soft Cream Moisturizer? Pro-Xylane, Grand Rose Extracts, Shea Butter and MeadowFoam Seed Oil. I've included a detailed description of each below.
INGREDIENTS*
Formulated without parabens, mineral oils, and sulfates.
Pro-Xylane:
Developed by L'Oréal and originally derived from sugar, it is known to
help reduce the appearance of fine lines and increase skin firmness and
tone.
Grand Rose Extracts: Lancôme’s proprietary
blend of rose extracts sourced exclusively from the South of France.
This blend features a newly patented rose, exclusive to Lancôme: The
Absolue Perpetual Rose™. Unlike other roses, this unique hybrid blooms
almost continuously throughout the year – a symbol of vitality.
Shea Butter:
Known for hydrating and antioxidant effects due to its high composition
of fatty acids and Vitamin E, shea butter helps to improve moisture
retention.
LHA (Capryloyl Salicylic Acid): A L'Oréal-developed derivative of salicylic acid known for its gentle exfoliating action.
Meadowfoam Seed Oil:
Its emollient properties help maintain the skin in good condition by
strengthening the skin's surface to prevent against water loss.
*Ingredient benefits are based on product formula testing, not on the individual ingredients.
So what can you expect the results to be? Lancome states, Absolue Soft Cream revitalizes skin with millions of new surface cells, leaving skin feeling smoother, suppler, and visibly more even. Over time, signs of aging are visibly reduced, and skin looks radiant and revitalized.
So what was my experience, after using it these past few weeks? For the record, I have really dry skin. This moisturizer is super creamy, but I felt it was a little heavy. In comparison to other moisturizers I've used, this doesn't sink into the skin very quickly. But what I didn't know, was this is a BRIGHTENING, REVITALIZING and FIRMING moisturizer. As of right now, I don't really need any of those three things. So how can this cream help me, when I'm not experiencing those issues? HaHaHa Exactly. My skin does feel firmer and looks more plump. Did it feel more moisturized? Not really. So I don't think this moisturizer is for me. But don't worry! I'm passing it along to my mom. She's always looking for skincare like this. So she may have better results. Lancome does make a Absolue Rich Cream Moisturizer that provides HYDRATION and REVITALIZES, so I think that formula will be more beneficial to me. I will try that one (maybe next year HaHaHa). So unfortunately, I can't rate this product. But these are my honest thoughts and opinions. I hope this review helps you decide if it is right for you.
