Most people associate deep cleaning their home with spring, hence the term “spring cleaning”. But you can, and should deep clean your home at other times of the year as well. It isn’t a rule that you can only deep clean your home in spring, and it’s a good idea to give your house a thorough once-over at least a couple of times a year anyway.
Unfortunately, most people don’t love cleaning, let alone deep cleaning. Here are some tips to help you get through the deep clean process as painlessly as possible.

Plan Ahead
Any project is more likely to be successful if you plan ahead. This applies to professional projects and personal projects alike, including the dreaded deep clean. First, make sure you set aside a day in your calendar to dedicate to cleaning. It shouldn’t take longer than a day to get everything sorted, unless your house is particularly large.
You should also get your equipment stocked and checked out. For example, if your vacuum cleaner isn’t working properly, now is a good time to look into vacuum repair & service to make sure it gets the job done. Stock up on other cleaning supplies, such as bin bags, cloths, and cleaning sprays.
Create a Checklist
Every overwhelming task can be made much simpler and easier by breaking it down into lots of smaller tasks. This way, you can track your progress and keep on top of what needs to be done later. This is why it's such a good idea to create or use a deep cleaning checklist.
Different people might prefer to go about things in different ways, but you should at least find a logical way to clean your house. Most people like to clean on a room-by-room basis, so they can work through the house.
By splitting the job into different rooms, it's also easier to delegate to other people, which brings us to our next section.
Get Help
If you live in a one-bedroom apartment by yourself, then you should be able to tackle the deep clean alone quite handily. But if you’re part of a household, the amount of mess being created seems to increase exponentially, especially if you have children.
In this case, it’s much more difficult to do everything yourself. So, get some help. As part of a household, the rest of the household can help with the cleaning. As mentioned before, delegate different rooms and tasks to different people. Even children can get involved. Older children might be able to handle rooms by themselves, although its a good idea to give them easier rooms to clean, while younger children can help their parents with certain chores.
You can also get professionals involved in some tasks. For example, when power washing the exterior of your house, it may be beneficial to hire someone with the right equipment and skills to get the job done safely and correctly. This way, you can ensure that your home is spick and span and ready to go in no time.
