Lancome L'Absolu Rouge Drama Matte Lipstick in French Touch (196) Review

Disclosure: I was sent Lancome's 2023 Advent Calendar for review. All opinions in this blog post are 100% my own and honest. This post contains affiliate links. I get commission for purchases made through the links in this post.

PR Sample: The last of the three lipsticks in Lancome's 2023 Advent Calendar was Lancome's L'Absolu Rouge Drama Matte Lipstick in French Touch (196). Please see my reviews on Lancome's L'Absolu Rouge French Cashmere 299 Intimatte Soft Matte Lipstick and Lancome's L'Absolu Rouge Cream Lipstick. Lancome's L'Absolu Rouge Drama Lipstick provides lasting comfort, a powdery matte finish, long lasting intense color, hyaluronic acid and grand rose extract.

This lipstick has excellent color payoff and feels great on the lips. It's also easy to apply and stays put on the lips. 196 French Touch is described as a warm orange red. I kept saying to myself, French Touch ... French Touch ... I've tried French Touch before. My memory is great, because Lancome sent me French Touch in their Lancome L'Absolu Rouge Drama Ink French Touch

If I had to choose between Lancome's Intimatte Soft Matte Lipstick and Rouge Drama Matte Lipstick, I really like the Intimatte Soft Matte Lipstick better. Why? Only one thing! This is a little too powdery looking for my dry skin. Intimatte gives me more oomph, luster etc. which I need. This comes across a little flat against my dry skin. That's just my personal feeling and preference. So for me, it's just the finish. For someone else, it may work perfectly. Nonetheless, it's an excellent lipstick.
