Halloween Decor 2024

Not Sponsored: Happy September 1st Everybody! I was looking at various social media accounts, and noticed a lot of people starting to decorate the inside of their homes for Halloween. I always get excited this time of the year. I'm a firm believer of getting an early start decorating for the holidays. The reason for this mindset, is so that you can ENJOY YOUR DECORATIONS. Nowadays, everything moves so fast. No one has an opportunity to enjoy anything. So I always try and get mine up, the beginning of September. You can see how I decorated in the pictures below.

I haven't purchased anything new. As a matter of fact, I've paired down this year. In 2022, I purchased this fabulous Headless Couple set from Grandin Road. I enjoyed them for about two years and decided to sell them this year. A lovely lady in Florida, purchased them. Although a huge fan of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow Story, I didn't feel like storing and putting them up every year. I'm now more into lightweight Halloween decor, that's easy to store and put on display. I'm also gravitating towards earthy Halloween decor and will phase out some of the other pieces I own. So far, I've sold the ghost and bat pillows in my 2022 post (linked above). The haunted house and skeleton wreath in my Halloween 2021 post kicked the bucket. So I threw them away. I sold a pair of Pottery Barn ghosts and Yankee Candle candy corn candle holders. I still love Halloween, but my taste is changing. I guess it happens to all of us.

I started watching Halloween movies this weekend. I found an interesting streaming channel called XUMO PLAY. They stream Universal Studios Vintage Monster movies and all kinds of other movies, tv shows etc. You can't fast forward or rewind, but they play some really good stuff. Look for more Halloween posts from me soon.

Be sure to check out all of my Halloween blog posts from years past.
