Keurig K-Duo Plus Single Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker Review

Not Sponsored: Over the holidays, I had to buy another coffee maker. Our old Keurig did well until a power surge hit it. As I was perusing Keurig's website for another one, the Keurig K-Duo Plus Single Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker caught my eye. The reason it did was because you can brew a single cup, an entire carafe or even a traveler's mug (up to 8" tall). Three options? That suits me. On the weekends, my mom and I brew a carafe. Sometimes on her own, she just wants a cup. And when I leave out the door to go to work, a traveler's mug suits me just fine.

It's super easy to use. You fill the water tank (it holds 60 oz of water) and it can be positioned either behind the brewer or to the right or left of the brewer. There is a water filter (just like all other Keurig's inside the water tank). You turn the coffee maker on. The carafe and cup buttons flash back and forth. Choose either one. You can then hit STRONG, # of ounces (6, 8, 10, 12) and then the K (which means START BREWING). The thermal carafe keeps coffee nice and hot. There's a mesh filter for grounds, so you don't have to use paper filters. It's really nice. If you want to just filter water for packets of hot chocolate or tea bags, select the kcup button (pretend like you're putting a kcup into the machine) and let it filter hot water to your mug of hot chocolate/tea bag. I'm enjoying mine and wanted to write a quick review if anyone else was interested in getting one. I love the pictures of cake and coffee in the first pic. I didn't want to get rid of the box. HaHaHa
